It's true. I am going on a vacation that will involve walking, not biking. My friend Chris and I were inspired by an article about walking in Italy, and after poking around the internet and emailing back and forth decided to walk through wine country in France. We'll be in Burgundy, walking from Dijon to Chagny:
The distance varies from day to day but the shortest day is 7 or 8 km, while the longest is 25 km. Like my bike trip, the point is seeing the area and not racing through it, so we can set our own pace.
Burgundy is known for its wines (which can be VERY expensive) and its food. So it will be good to walk off all those calories!!!
Tonight I've been trying to pack for the trip while simultaneously packing for my business trip that starts tomorrow. Saturday I get home, cuddle the cats, and switch bags and gears to leave on Sunday for our vacation. It's a little frenzied but oh well.
So until the trip... au revoir! (Ack no time to refresh my French!!!!)
