The day I leave is always stressful for me - refining my packing, making sure I didn't leave anything out, making sure the house is in order and everything is set for the cats. This time has been even more stressful as I was in Lexington KY for work the past few days, leaving me about 24 hours between trips.
Amazingly, since I got home yesterday I've managed to take care of pretty much everything. Including taking the a/c out of the windows and putting them away (!) since that has to be done by the day I get back.... and I figure I won't feel like doing it then.
Oh yes - I also managed to 1) pickle some dilly beans and 2) finish making the concord grape jam (how appropriate!) last night. Yum.
So now I've been obsessing over the weather in Burgundy - do I need a fleece? Maybe just a vest? ARGH! - and playing with the dudes. Chris is already on her way to ORD, and in a few hours I will be as well.
